Rooted in Resilience.

Growing Together.

Rooted in Resilience. Growing Together.

Jupiter Pines Counseling is therapy with you sitting in the pilot seat.

Unlike algorithmic apps or insurance-driven models that prioritize speed and scaling over depth and nuance, I offer clients space defined by radical transparency and total agency.

The Roots & Galaxy Model:

First, we co-sign explicit boundaries and policies (Roots) so you know exactly what to expect. Then, we begin unlocking the freedom to explore your deepest complexities (Galaxy).

Whether you’re navigating trauma, systemic mistrust, high-control histories, or chronic struggles, you get a human connection where privacy is sacred, diagnoses are collaborative decisions, and your pace of healing is respected.

“You are not a case file. You are a person, with an intricate story, and you are worthy of time, caring, and understanding.”

The Roots & Galaxy Model

Deep exploration and mental health expansion require a structure you can trust. We provide a human-centric environment designed specifically for those who have been failed by systems of opacity and control.

Our approach is balanced within two parts:

The Roots
(Your Container)

Before we begin, you get to read through our full ethical framework. You can review, question, and sign your own client boundaries in advance. This isn't about guaranteeing safety; it's about establishing consistency and predictability. No bait-and-switches. No surprise diagnoses. We offer this because you deserve clear, co-created agreements that gives you agency to decide where you stand within and throughout the therapy experience.

The Galaxy
(Your Exploration)

Once that structure is in place, we move beyond symptom management into deep, uncharted territory. We go wherever your work needs to go, unpacking chronic pain, complex trauma, and high-control histories without the arbitrary limits of insurance quotas or session caps. This is a space for you to expand your understanding of yourself at your speed.

Jupiter Pines Counseling:
Where clarity allows for depth.

Why Choose Jupiter Pines Counseling?

Most therapy models ask you to leap into the dark and hope for the best. At Jupiter Pines Counseling, we believe that deep healing requires clarity and communication, before commitment. We don’t promise safety; we offer structure. We don’t impose rules; we co-create boundaries.

  • No Bait-and-Switch: Unlike many traditional practices where policies are hidden or revealed mid-session, we publish our full ethical framework and financial structure upfront. You review it, question it, and sign off on it before your first session begins.

Total Agency Over Your Data: We operate on the principle that your story belongs to you. Within our professional ethics, no diagnosis will ever be added to your record without your explicit consent. If we discuss a diagnostic label, we do so as a tool for understanding, not a box you must fit into.

Zero AI Tools in Sessions: We do not use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to write your clinical notes or progress notes. We also do not use or allow the use of AI tools to record your sessions, by clients or clinicians. Documentation referencing your personal health information (PHI) is written by licensed mental health professionals who know your story personally.

Privacy & Digital Security: We prioritize your privacy by selecting encrypted platforms like SimplePractice that strictly adhere to HIPAA standards for data security and confidentiality. Your sensitive information never leaves our secure processing ecosystem, and our explicit protocols prevent AI training or data leakage. More on our privacy and data policies here.

  • Integrative & Personalized Care: Mental health isn’t one-size-fits-all, so we blend over two dozen evidence-based modalities to create a treatment plan tailored specifically to your unique biology and lived experience. Rather than forcing you into a single mold, we adapt our approach in real-time to ensure every session resonates with your personal needs and goals.

Depth Over Efficiency: We are not bound by insurance quotas or arbitrary session caps that force a "quick fix" approach. If your work requires ten sessions to process one insight, or three years to fully unpack a lifetime of conditioning, we will support that pace.

Uncharted Territory: Once our boundaries are set, we move into the "Galaxy"—the space for complex trauma, chronic pain, and identity reconstruction. This is where we go deep without fear of running out of time or hitting a wall of bureaucratic limits.

High-Performance Alignment: For those used to excelling in rigid systems, this is a break from performance metrics. Here, success isn't about how fast you heal; it's about how deeply you understand yourself at your speed.

  • For the Survivor: We acknowledge that trust must be earned, not assumed. Our transparency is our invitation to rebuild your capacity to trust a human connection on your own terms.

For the Religious Trauma Survivor: We understand that "sanctuary" can sometimes feel like a trap. We offer a neutral ground where you are free to question everything—including us—without fear of judgment or expulsion. You define the boundaries; we hold them with you.

For the High-Performer: You know how it feels when systems fail you. Here, you aren't just a patient; you are a partner in your own care. We bring professional rigor to the process so you can finally stop working harder and start healing deeper.

  • Our practice is built on a foundation of deep cultural humility, ensuring that survivors of trauma and neurodivergent individuals (including ADHD and Autism) feel seen, understood, and safe from the moment they walk in. We move beyond basic accommodation to actively celebrate your unique identity, creating an environment where your differences are viewed as strengths rather than deficits.

  • Whether you prefer the comfort of a dedicated, soundproof office in Tacoma (coming soon!) or the flexibility of secure video sessions from anywhere across Washington, we offer a flexible hybrid model designed to fit your lifestyle. We enjoy offering clients face-to-face connection, modern convenience, and high-quality care, accessible wherever you are in our beautiful state.

Meet The Clinician

Core Therapeutic Approaches:

Healing and growth happen when you’re met exactly where you are, right now. Sessions with clients are anchored in these core approaches:

Salutogenic

Focusing on your mental health creation and resilience by asking “what’s well with you?” rather than jumping to diagnosis or pathology or, “what’s wrong with you?”.

Psychodynamic

Exploring unconscious patterns and how your past influences your present behavior.

Collaborative

Working with you, not just for you; we build the plan together.

Narrative

Rewriting the stories and scripts we tell ourselves about our experiences and life to reclaim authorship and write new chapters.
